Hi KS2! I hope you are well and are having a good week. We are nearly there – you have nearly survived probably the weirdest year of your school career (at least I hope it will be!). What a year it has been! I wonder if you have had chance to reflect yet and write your own end of year report. I would love to read what you have enjoyed the most and what you are looking forward to achieving next year.
While I write this, a lovely smell is wafting through from my kitchen! Ella and I have been baking brownies ready for her to take into school for her teacher tomorrow. We had to get them in the oven early so that I could get on here to play games with Y6 and then Y3/4 (Y5 it’s your turn on Thursday!). I am looking forward to seeing you all for one last time before we break up for the summer and then hopefully the next time we chat will be back in our classroom – altogether. I am really looking forward to that. School might look a little different and our classroom will be arranged a little differently to start with but otherwise it’ll be just the same. It seems a long time since we were all in the same room.
You might have noticed that there are no Sumdog competitions this week. Well done to everyone who has earned a Sumdog certificate over the last few weeks. Some of you even managed more than one – excellent. Sumdog will still be there over the summer, so if you’re bored and not sure what to do, have a go on there – it’s fun and you’ll be keeping your maths skills sharp too.
Well that’s about it…
Well I better go and get set up for Year 6 – ironing board to set up and Zoom to load. Remember over the summer holidays to keep reading, do some writing, perhaps revise your tables but most importantly relax and recharge ready for the new year. Remember I am only at the end of an email if you need me. I won’t be checking them daily but will keep my eye out in case you need anything, a chat, to show me something or even some work! I might add things to the blog if I see something that I think you might like too so keep checking on there too.
See you soon,
